This was a difficult review to write, mainly because it's apparent the staff have to deal with tourists who book in here with high expectations -and are so used to hearing negatives they are wary and a bit frosty on arrival -they do a very difficult job here! But we're friendly and receptive when engaged in passing. The entrance looked somewhat abandoned before tet decorations arrived, and the building has seen better days -Its old and worn. Nothing in the gym works, the pool is cold and a bit dirty from tree debris. Nevertheless the room I had was kept clean by housekeeping, they meticulously changed towels daily. Bedding was remade daily and only changed one a week (from what I noticed). I had an allergic reaction to the laundry detergent/sheets/towels -but I do have sensitive skin. I found 3 cockroaches in my room on the 5th floor during on the last few days of my stay, all upside down which led me to reconsider my allergy to the laundry and instead think it was the chemicals on the floor transferring! The bathroom drain smelt rotten and a stale smell emanated profusely even when covered. There were times when the AC would smell like cigarettes in my non smoking room late at night especially -waking me up, having to open the windows to air somewhat defeated the point of AC but yet wasn't enough to cool the room alone. When raised to reception they advised housekeeping would check -on what I don't know as it seemed to be an ac connection issue between the rooms and the issue didn't stop. The housekeeping took the TV remotes away and had to be requested back, to which one was returned... The TV box kept glitching and turning off anyway so I gave up. There is a sports pitch behind this hotel, and one morning I awoke at 5.50am to a brass band practice, and a random karaoke on blast but that didn't happen again in the 2 weeks i was here. One night I arrived back to find my door open, nothing taken or looked disturbed, but everything valuable was locked away in the safe... It's almost impossible to leave a door here open accidentally as they have arms which pull them closed, so I was miffed. The door locks also did not look secure from the inside and had visibly been broken in multiple times. On my last night, night security knocked at 2am and before I could answer the door let themselves in only to be surprised I was in bed half asleep! I heard some radio discussions and a short while later they knocked again saying a guest downstairs had complained about noise from upstairs, to which I threw on the light to show him I was alone and exclaimed clearly trying to sleep and not making any noise. The next morning on checkout when I queried the receptionist apologised and said there had been a mix up with room numbers. As a solo female this was worrying. The bathroom wall between mine and the room next door was somewhat makeshift and shared a window, not that there was any visible contact between but it sounded as if they were in my bathroom when in theirs and you could hear all ablutions. The breakfast had standard egg menu, ham, bacon, congee, a soup, a daily pho, two different types of rice dishes (sticky and stir fried) cooked vegetables, potato, corn/tempura, basic salad, beef/chicken/pork curry/stir fry, dumplings/deep fried fish/other meat each with rotating ingredients daily for variation. And a mix of 3 fruits and some pot deserts, bakes and toast with butter and apricot jam -enough to keep anyone satisfied but probably not worth paying extra for. I got as the room deal with agoda included it. Overall this was a weird one, I was grateful to be somewhere clean(ish) booked in short notice, but if I'd had more time to research other accomodation that would have been a better move.
Such a fascinating place, with very helpful staff, good service and accomodation. The breakfast is really good and the music helps keep you calm and enjoy the morning in the restaurant. The staff are always smiling, social and helpful. Every staff is doing their best and they are focused on delivering exceptional service. The walking street is interesting and fun with nice musical decors and a little bar to have a drink at. The breakfast is delicious and the place is spacious enough to choose somewhere comfortable to sit at. There is an additional corner where a chef can prepare omelletes or scrambled eggs for you if you are interested. The hotel is quiet big with different accomodating rooms for private, business or group gatherings. You can even organize wedding events which is great. There is a hall that can host up to 1000 guests in there. I am fascinated and pleased to be welcomed as a guest here. The guests who stay here are also nice, positive and easy to interact with. It seems that everyone is happy here and enjoying themselves which reflects on the staff and the guests. Congratulations to the managers who are supervising the services here. This place deserves to be known more in Da Nang. There are beautiful decors everywhere and it really feels like you are in a very unique environment. It makes you feel like the managers have put some efforts to make it appealing to the visitors. Everyone is doing their best and we should never stop to continue doing our best because that is when we reach the top. I will always remember this experience and keep it close to my heart.
I was extremely impressed with this hotel. The price was great. The breakfast was excellent. The friendly staff and clean facilities made our stay delightful. The neighborhood was not ideal since there were no restaurants or tourist attractions in walking distance but everything else about this hotel really impressed us. The breakfast buffet was shockingly good...I don't think I have had a better breakfast buffet anywhere. There was an impressive variety of food each day. There are various kinds of fresh fruit, some American food and also a large selection of Asian foods (egg rolls, fried rice, pork katsu, sweet and sour chicken, egg drop soup etc.) Every day there is a different fresh squeezed juiced featured (tangerine, carrot or pineapple). There is an omelet chef standing by to cook something with the ingredients you request. The price was excellent...free (included with the room price).
We stayed in this establishment for 72 nights (Airbnb apartment run by Eden Plaza not another owner) at first we were a little disappointed with the location, but loved it. There the “love” ends…..we have just checked out (72 nights) and we got “yes you can go” we do not expect staff in Vietnam to speak English - but there was no acknowledgement ever from any staff that we actually even existed….the cleaning and pool staff would nod…anyway! It’s not the place for European travellers, very suited to travellers from Asian countries…..the food was mediocre and only ate here maybe 3 times. Anyway on to better places happy travelling.
Really really lovely staff and cleaners however the hotel did not live up to expectations. Advertised that it has a fully equipped gym, which is incorrect as there was not one set of dumbells in the gym and the equipment was rusty. Also pool was not that clean, which is not surprising given there was no shower by the pool. Also in a bit of a weird location so had to get grabs into the town but this was manageable as the grabs come very quickly and are very cheap. Also the hotel was quite old fashioned and did often have a bit of a weird smell. But the rooms were clean and did the job for the price.
