Da Nang Prioritizes Preserving Historical and Cultural Values When Reorganizing Villages and Residential Groups
In the newly issued Plan No. 267/KH-UBND, Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized a consistent viewpoint: the reorganization of villages and residential groups is not only aimed at streamlining the apparatus and improving management efficiency but also must pay special attention to preserving the long-standing historical and cultural values of the locality.
Accordingly, the city requires that during implementation, the highest level of consensus from the people must be ensured. Any changes to administrative boundaries or residential organization must be based on respect for tradition, without eroding the distinctive features that have formed over many generations. This viewpoint reflects a harmony between development and preservation, aiming for a modern Da Nang that remains rich in identity.
This move is not only significant for state management but also a positive signal for the tourism industry. When community cultural values are preserved, the villages and old quarters will continue to be attractive destinations for tourists due to their original beauty. Local residents will also be prouder and more attached, contributing to building a civilized and friendly city.
