Da Nang Determined to Complete 21 'Idle' Bridges to Avoid Waste

Da Nang is embarking on a special journey to "awaken" 21 bridges whose structures are complete but lack access roads, leaving many projects abandoned for long periods. This is the city's effort to avoid wasting thousands of billions of VND invested from the state budget, while also bringing these structures into use soon to serve the travel needs of residents and tourists.

According to directives from the leaders of the City Party Committee, the People's Council, and the People's Committee, these 21 bridges must be completed as soon as possible. Many of these bridges are located in areas experiencing strong tourism and urban development, so connecting traffic will help boost socio-economic growth, facilitate movement between districts and attractive destinations across the city.

Reviving these "idle" bridges is not only significant for infrastructure but also demonstrates the government's determination to use public resources effectively. Once completed, the bridge and road system will help reduce traffic congestion, connect residential areas, industrial zones, and key tourist routes, making Da Nang increasingly convenient and appealing to both domestic and international visitors.
