Da Nang Pays Tribute to Huynh Thuc Khang at Tien Canh Memorial House
On the afternoon of August 18, a Da Nang city delegation led by Ngo Xuan Thang, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, visited the Tien Canh village memorial house (Thanh Binh commune) to offer flowers and incense in tribute to Huynh Thuc Khang. The delegation also included Vo Cong Chanh, Head of the City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission, along with leaders from relevant departments and agencies.
This activity is an expression of gratitude and reverence for a patriotic scholar and a great cultural figure of the nation. Huynh Thuc Khang was one of the prominent figures in the Duy Tan movement and the struggle for national liberation in the early 20th century. The memorial house in Tien Canh preserves precious artifacts and documents about his life and career, making it a cultural and educational destination for younger generations to learn about tradition.
For visitors and locals coming to Da Nang, visiting the Huynh Thuc Khang Memorial House is not only an opportunity to explore history but also a chance to gain a deeper appreciation of the patriotic spirit and cultural values of the Quang Nam – Da Nang region. This activity helps preserve and promote the tradition of remembering one's roots, while also highlighting a meaningful cultural site on the journey to discover Central Vietnam.
