Da Nang Promotes Low-Altitude Economy via UAV Technology Workshop

On June 12, the Da Nang Center for Support of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (under the Department of Science and Technology) in coordination with the Low-Altitude Economy Alliance organized a workshop titled "UAV Technology – Boosting Low-Altitude Economy Development in Da Nang City". The event marked a new step in applying unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) into economic sectors, contributing to diversifying the local development model.

The low-altitude economy refers to economic activities that take place at low altitudes, based on UAV technology and smart flying devices. At the workshop, experts shared potential applications such as cargo transport, terrain surveying, smart agriculture, environmental monitoring, and even experiential tourism services. Da Nang, with its modern technical infrastructure and strategic location, is expected to become a pioneering locality to test and scale up these solutions.

A representative from the organizing committee emphasized that the workshop aimed to connect startups, researchers, and businesses in the UAV field, while also seeking solutions to remove legal and technical barriers to boost the low-altitude economy. The outcomes from the event will serve as a foundation for the city to build a long-term strategy, create new job opportunities, and enhance competitiveness in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
