The Best Cooking Class Ever – Thank You So Much! I’ve taken many cooking classes before, but the experience with Nora and the team today was by far the best I’ve ever had! Nora is incredibly warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable – you can feel her passion and joy in everything she teaches. We started with a wonderful visit to the local market, where we learned so much about the fresh ingredients, chatted, laughed, and soaked up the local atmosphere. Back at the restaurant, everything was perfectly organized. We were able to prepare each dish entirely by ourselves – not just a little chopping or quick frying, but really cooking from scratch! The whole team was so engaged, helpful, and full of positive energy, which made the experience even more special. The quality of the ingredients was outstanding – everything was so fresh and flavorful. We cooked so much food that we were absolutely full and happy by the end, and even got to take generous portions home with us! It truly wasn’t just a cooking class, but a full-on culinary adventure – definitely my favorite experience in Vietnam so far! A huge heartfelt thank you to Nora and her amazing team – I would join again! This is an absolute must-do for anyone who loves food and wants an unforgettable experience.

Regarding the recommendation of another vegan restaurant, I decided to come and try. It’s a whole vibe here! During my stay, they had cooking class with a small group. It was such a pleasure to listen to the passionate lady about the food they prepared. And the flavor in the air was herb and spicy which I liked. The menu card reflected what I felt about this place - they are deeply passionate about Veganismus and cooking. And more over the small book is packed with wisdom and personal stories. The food is flavorful and fresh, a big variety of traditional dishes till to fermented vegan cheeses. I definitely enjoyed the meals and the atmosphere here ☺️

The vegan cooking class was absolutely fantastic! Nora is an amazing person and teacher who truly made the experience unforgettable. Also the whole team from chickpea eatery is great. We started with a wonderful visit to the local market, which was so fascinating and informative. We learned a lot about the fresh ingredients and local products, which added even more excitement to the whole experience. The dishes chosen for the cooking session were incredibly delicious and cooking together was so much fun, and the time flew by far too quickly! We genuinely enjoyed every moment and will definitely take this class again when we return to Hoi An.

The food was absolutely delicious. Such a wide variety of options and the prices were reasonable. The bao buns, tempeh banh mi and pineapple juice were our favourite items. We also did the cooking class which was such a wonderful experience. The market tour was very informative, and the cooking class experience was fantastic. The ingredients we used were so fresh and all three dishes we cooked were absolutely delicious. My only comment would be that you are outside the entire time so it was very hot and sticky.

We did the vegan cooking class and came back the next day for dinner because it was so good! Our teacher Ha was sooo fun, happy and made the class so enjoyable! We loved the market tour beforehand trying lots of fruits/snacks and the class itself was such a nice atmosphere. Most importantly the food was super tasty and we learnt some new Vietnamese dishes!

We had the most amazing time on the vegan cooking class!! Norah was a fantastic host. The market tour was super interesting and informative and we got to sample loads of fresh fruits as well as vegan snacks, and learnt about the Vietnamese way of life/ some useful phrases! The cooking tutorial was easy to follow, super fun and so so delicious!!!! The whole team were very friendly and helpful - we didn’t have to lift a finger. Would feel confident cooking the dishes myself after this class and would definitely return to the restaurant to try the rest of the menu. Worth every penny- fab value for such a thorough and authentic experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We had a wonderful experience doing the market tour and vegan cooking class! Nora was not only a talented chef but was a wonderful host. We learned so much at the market and during the class. Also the amount of food we made was insane so come hungry! We would strongly recommend this for any one who is vegan or curious about vegan cooking!

We were sooooo happy to find this little gem!! We were initially looking for a vegan cooking class, and signed up for that, but ended up eating there for lunch at least twice as well. The vegan cheese platter was so good and the bao buns were one of the best things we ate on our two week trip! The cooking class and tour was also excellent and I recommend doing it early in your stay, as we got many helpful tips as to where else to eat and find vegan treats in HoiAn. We also loved the spirit of the place and the beautiful cruelty free messages within their menu. It was heart warming :) We just loved it and highly recommend it!

Wir haben grade Essen dort bestellt und zuerst haben wir das falsche Essen geliefert bekommen (dem Fahrer wurde die falsche Bestellung gegeben), was mal passieren kann und nicht so schlimm ist. Viel schlimmer ist, dass wir etwas mit Nüssen bekommen haben, obwohl wir (sogar auf vietnamesisch) in die Bestellung geschrieben haben, dass mein Freund allergisch gegen alle Nüsse ist und bitte keine Nüsse im Essen sein sollen. In der Beschreibung des Gerichts stand nichts von Nüssen, wir konnten es also nicht wissen (es war Tempeh, wer denkt dran, dass da Nüsse dran sein könnten?) Wir verstehen nicht, wie man als Restaurant 1. Keine Allergene auf die Karte schreibt und 2. Solche Hinweise nicht beachtet. So etwas kann richtig gefährlich werden und im schlimmstenfall zum Tod führen.

We went to their cooking class and it was amazing. Addy was such a lovely host and guided us through the market and all the cooking steps with so much enthusiasm and motivation. The food was so delicious as well and I would genuinely recommend to go there.

Did the cooking class and market tour with Meii and her assistant Tuan Anh, and it was excellent. I am not vegan myself, but would highly recommend the cooking class and market tour for anyone who likes vietnamese food, vegan or not, for the knowledge, vibes and tastes. The market tour was very informative, Meii showed us different spices, vegan proteins, and had us try some local fruits. The cooking class was well structured, we made a vegan spring roll/fish sauce, fresh (not fried) spring rolls, a vegan chicken salad, and Bành Xèo (vietnamese pancakes). We made them sequentially in that order, and ate them as we went, though there were leftovers. Thanks to their guidance. Everything tasted great, and was very easy to make.

We did a vegan cooking class here with Mei and Than Anh and it was so good!! The market tour was very interesting and we got to try several things. The cooking was fun and the food was delicious. We had such a fun afternoon and very satisfied with what we made, and we left with lots of leftovers.

Perfect way to have fun learning about Vietnamese food with an amazing host. The market tour was super informative and a short walk from the restaurant. Afterwards we were taken step by step through the process of making our own three dishes which were all delicious and gave us the confidence to try when back at home. The host Thu could not have been more friendly, knowledgeable and fun. The whole experience was perfectly organised and seamless so if you’re thinking of joining a cooking class whether vegan or not, this is highly recommended

Lovely spacious shady place (courtyard tables so no aircon - I came in early February) up a backstreet where you can try all the local specialties with confidence if you are vegan. Well presented, delicious healthy food at great value prices. Fresh juices too - my choice was guava. I rarely visit the same eatery twice when I’m travelling but I had to come back here for more. Highly recommended whether you are vegetarian, vegan or not.

Sehr sympathisches Restaurant. Anders als in einigen anderen Restaurants steckt hier nicht unbedingt viel Kapital dahinter, dafür aber ganz viel Herzblut und Leidenschaft für die Sache. Nachhaltigkeit wird hier in vielen Bereichen wirklich gelebt. Das Essen schmeckt übrigens auch sehr gut und ist zudem wirklich erstaunlich preisgünstig.

Wir haben heute an der cooking class teilgenommen und waren begeistert. Nachdem uns Anh Thu herzlich in Empfang genommen hat, haben wir eine Führung über den lokalen Markt bekommen. Immer wieder hat Anh Thu viele interessante Sachen zu den Produkten erzählt und wir hatten die Gelegenheit frische Früchte zu probieren. Das kochen danach hat super viel Spaß gemacht und die Rezepte sind einfach nur der Hammer. Ich habe selten sooo gut gegessen und ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass ich im Stande bin so etwas leckeres zuzubereiten. Die Atmosphäre ist immer sehr locker und Anh Thu hat uns immer motiviert. Ich kann die Cookingclass nur weiterempfehlen.

Just had a brilliant Vietnamese vegan cookery class at the Chickpea Eatery. It was good fun, educational, and the food was brilliant. We were well looked after all afternoon. It kicked off with a trip round Hoi A market followed by making three dishes. It was great fun and the food was amazing. I would thoroughly recommend doing this cookery class and also eating at the restaurant
