Cua Dai Central Restaurant & Cooking Class

Really delicious dinner with a nice atmosphere. I had the hearts of palm salad with seafood - it was very fresh and flavorful. The herbs tasted like they’d just been picked. My partner had the pork ribs which had good flavor despite being less tender than we might have expected. Management was very sweet and checked in a couple of times. They gave us a sweet little cup of chilled kumquat tea at the end of the meal before asking if we’d take a moment to provide feedback here :) Would return to try other dishes.

Ich habe beim Cooking Class mitgebracht. Ich wurde morgens vom Hotel abgeholt und wir liefen durch eine Farm und haben alles über Pflanzen und Anpflanzung gelernt. Dann sind wir zum Markt und der Führer/Koch hat uns alles gezeigt und erklärt und gleichzeitig haben wir uns die benötigen Zutaten besorgt. Dann ging es in die Küche und wir wurden mit einem Erfrischungs Getränk empfangen. Jeder hatte sein Kochfeld und er zeigte und erklärte uns alles. Es war wirklich nett, das Essen war sensationell und absolut ausreichend. Vorher unbedingt nichts essen! Es war viel zu viel und ich musste leider den letzten Gang was über lassen und war für den ganzen Tag gesättigt. Der Führer/Koch war mit meiner Meinung etwas unsympathisch und negativ eingestellt aber ansonsten war es eine tolle Erfahrung!

3/5 - it’s a solid restaurant but the quality of the food is average. We have been here and had 2 drinks, 2 starters and 2 main courses. The White roses were undercooked, the chicken a little bit overcooked. Spring rolls as well as pho Bo was delicious. The juices (pineapple and passion fruit) were also great and fresh. The price is a little bit over average, combined with the food - a solid 3 out of 5.

The food was delicious! Got spring rolls, cashew chicken, and king duck dish and they were all so yummy. The staff were lovely as well.

I came here as I was walking though the market without even checking the reviews but got lucky! Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Delightful.

We started with the chicken and papaya salad, which was a revelation—who knew raw papaya could taste so incredible? The salad was topped with their home sauce, a perfect blend of spicy and chili flavors. The pho beef was rich and flavorful, while the chicken turmeric rice came with an amazing sauce that elevated the dish even further. To complement our meal, we enjoyed a passion fruit mojito and other exotic mocktails, all of which were expertly crafted and refreshing. Each dish and drink offered a picture-perfect taste experience, making it clear that the chefs have mastered their craft. Cua Dai Central Restaurant also offers cooking classes, which we regret not trying. Learning the secrets behind their delicious dishes, like the banana flower or papaya salad, would have been a fantastic addition to our visit. Overall, Cua Dai Central Restaurant provides a wonderful combination of ambiance, cleanliness, spaciousness, and exceptional food and drinks. It’s a must-visit spot in the old town and market area, and we look forward to returning for both the food and possibly a cooking class in the future.

Its a family run restuarant....we had delicious dinner for 4 nights, it was tasty, fresh and mouth watering. Great selection of local beer, nice ambience and kind staff who are very helpful. They also helped with kids friendly dinner. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our dinner here, so much so that we went again on our last night. The food is absolutely incredible, such high quality for such reasonable prices! The service was amazing, a special shoutout to our waitress Hii. Couldn’t recommend this place more!

Stumbled along this place on our way out and decided to stop to get some food. We had the wonton soup and the beef pho and both meals were amazing! They also provided us with some tea after our meal. The staff were lovely and spoke very good English, were lovely to have a chat with. Though we didn’t chose they had a wide option for vegetarian and vegan choices too!! Definitely recommend!!

Meget hyggelig restaurant tæt ved floden. God mad og god vejledning af værtinden Hai. Vi fik forret med blandede vietnamesiske specialiteter samt en fiskeret. Meget lækkert og super sød betjening.

My partner and I arrived and this was our first meal in Hoi An. We ordered the local starter basket but the pancake was replaced with the Hoi A fried spring rolls and we were so glad they were, the spring rolls and the white rose dumplings were delicious. For my main I ordered the Hoi An Chicken rice and it was amazingly full of flavour. The owner was lovely and so welcoming, and the food exceptional. We would highly recommend.

We spent a few days in Hoi An and braved the Tet crowds to enjoy one of favorite dinners here. Loved it so much, we came back for more after we moved to different hotel in Da Nang. Have a super fun conversation with Hai Li and Phu Un. I hope to visit again soon. Food was fantastic.

Very impressed with the people and I had a Beef with mushroom & potatoes. Highly recommend. Was excellent. Owner popped by to touch base and ensure all was well. The service and food Fantastic. A great find. We got lucky on Valentine’s Day.

Awesome little place! We arrived a little late (around 9pm) and it was quiet - but we were really warmly welcomed and had a fantastic meal. Couldn’t recommend it enough!
