The staff has never been as bad as at this eatery. The place is crowded, but they sit there scrolling on their phones, slow, not taking care of customers. You have to call them several times to get service. When you come to eat seafood, they say there's no dipping sauce; you have to call 3 or 4 times before they bring it out. The eatery is short-staffed and lacking everything. The food takes over an hour to be served. Staff: negative points, eatery: zero points. I hope many people see this review and stay far away.

The octopus caught from the lake is so chewy that it's inedible. The restaurant couldn't handle it and blamed the octopus. So why not advise customers when they choose the dish that it's very chewy? They just want to sell it for money, not caring whether it's edible or not. And it's not even certain that this is the live octopus I selected. Fresh and live, yet steamed it turns pitch black and chewy. Grilled, it's impossible to chew, and it doesn't even taste like octopus. Once and never again!

Everything was okay, the price of seafood for each dish was normal until we asked for the bill. Oh my god, for the first time I saw the bill, crab was 780k/kg (we didn't order this dish, the staff told me the price for comparison 😂) while dried squid (the dish we ordered) was priced at 180k/100g, which is 1.8 million/kg. Oh my god. Our group ordered a lot of dishes, grilled hairy cockles and chìa vôi fish, etc... I was completely satisfied with the final bill price. Only the dried squid priced at 1.8 million/kg really shocked me. It's even higher than all the super VIP restaurants in the Vo Nguyen Giap area. I don't know if the staff made a mistake on the bill or miscalculated or something, but I called the manager over, and they still confirmed this price for you guys, so I give up, just pay and leave! Seriously, a dish of grilled dried squid priced at 1.8 million/kg compared to crab at 780k/kg, I'm speechless! I've eaten here many times, but this is the last time, I will never return to Hung Van restaurant again!

I've been to the restaurant several times; it's crowded and the food takes a bit long. But the good thing is that a staff member named Bao chats and jokes around, which makes up for it and is very fun and comfortable. Will visit many more times.

Food is not much, a few conch snails, a few tiny pieces of fish hot pot, hot pot vegetables are also a tiny portion, but the cheese oysters and hot pot broth are quite tasty. The restaurant is very crowded, noisy, cold wind and cigarette smoke are unavoidable. Overall, nothing special and will not return.

Food came out slowly. While eating, all we heard was the owner scolding the staff. There were a dozen staff standing around, but when called, none of them would listen; they just kept tapping on their phones. The food was okay, but the service means I won't come a second time. I saw the place got a lot of praise—not sure if it's from advertising—but it didn't meet expectations. Eating with Chinese customers, everyone complained. Going to the restroom past the kitchen, I saw rats running around. At first, the marketing person offered beer, but later no one poured it; customers had to get their own beer. I looked over and saw two staff standing there tapping their phones and laughing.

I came back to this restaurant because of the two super cute female promoters. Although the staff was a bit neglectful due to being busy, when I waved my hand even from a distance, those two came first. If I wanted extra dipping sauce or anything, calling them was faster than the other staff. They were always smiling. I loved their two buck teeth. They took great photos, enthusiastically adjusted my pose, and even had hair ties ready when needed. The food was okay, a bit slow to arrive. The best were probably the fried rice and herring salad, with generous portions at affordable prices. I think many people come back here because of those two, just like me.

If you are in a hurry, please don't come to this restaurant, the food takes extremely long to come out. Except for steamed dishes and fish salad (I sat waiting 30-40 minutes for a pot of octopus). I came in earlier but a table that came in after me on the opposite side got their food first. 2. The staff are not enthusiastic. As soon as I sat down, only the promoter offered beer.
