What a fantastic discovery. I was just walking down the street looking for a place for dinner. I noticed the bright lights, then more importantly, the place was completely full with only locals. Not one single foreigner. I knew then I must try. I struggled with the Vietnamese language menu and using Google Translate, I was going to order grilled fish and spinach. The owner said no more spinach, and the fish is dry. So I just asked her to recommend. She suggested deep fried spring rolls and a vegetable. I didn’t really know what it was, but I said OK. I felt I can trust her. It was the third night in a row that I have spring roll so I didn’t expect too much but wow the spring roll was amazing freshly cooked, crispy, light and more tasty than any other spring rolls I have ever had. It came with mint leaves and homemade dipping sauce. The owner lady then asked if I would like to try it with mustard leaves. I wasn’t sure but gladly accepted her offer. What a delightful combination that was with the spring roll. The leaf softened the crispy bite while offering a sudtly tasty flavour. Oh, the vegetables turned out to be baby pumpkin stems fresh stir-fried with lots of garlic. The slightly firm testure made it perfect second dish. I'm glad to be supporting a family business.
