Cozy place with ample of vegetarian food options. The waiters are really professional and helpful. Reasonably priced.
Decided to give ‘Pause and enjoy restaurant’ a try since I was nearby. The Mango & Papaya salad taste really good thanks to the fresh ingredients ! The Mango smoothie was refreshing. The waiter, Dat and the waitress speak a really fluent English which make the ordering experience fuss free. Fruits served were so nicely crafted! The entire dining experience was great! Would definitely patronise again !
The fried wontons and the local Cao Lao were both delicious and authentic. The watermelon juice was super refreshing, and they even gave me a complimentary fruit mix for dessert, the staff was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was perfect. Definitely a must visit in Hoi An.
Love this restaurant! 10/10! Lovely atmosphere, very relaxing with such sweet staff🫶🏻 they offered us a raffle as a new year gift to the guest, and happily got the shrimp with tamarind sauce! Highly recommend this place! Food is very delicious 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Happy new year and wishing this restaurant a prosperous year ahead❤️

The food very nice. Visited twice in a same day. Service by Thuy and Ba. Both of them very nice and kind. Definitely will comeback again.

This was some of our favourite food during our entire trip in Vietnam, the pork and vegetarian Cao Lau are exquisite! And Thor was the best waitress, so sweet and helpful!
Such a calm and relaxing vibe and staff is super friendly and helpful would definitely come back and recommend it to others to try, and also read their menu history such a touching and heartwarming back bone story of the restaurant
Kind of hidden restaurant but I am glad I found it. Beautiful decor (lanterns of course) and great food. Had the fried Bullet Squid, highly recommend.
This is a super cozy little place hidden on a quiet side street away from the busy road — a true small oasis for enjoying authentic Vietnamese food. The food is excellent and full of flavor. It’s run by the sweetest family, and we highly recommend asking for their suggestions. We shared three different dishes, and everything was delicious. Our warmest recommendation.
Pause and Enjoy – Hoi An Pause and Enjoy truly lives up to its name. From the moment we arrived, the experience was outstanding from start to finish. The food was exceptional — beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and clearly made with care and attention to detail. Every dish felt thoughtfully balanced, showcasing Vietnamese cuisine at its best, with fresh ingredients and generous portions. It’s the kind of meal you keep talking about long after you’ve finished. What really sets this place apart, though, is the service. The staff were genuinely attentive and welcoming before, during, and even after the meal. Nothing felt rushed or forced — just warm, professional, and sincere hospitality that made us feel truly looked after. They were happy to explain dishes, check in at just the right moments, and made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable. If you’re in Hoi An and looking for amazing food paired with excellent, thoughtful service, Pause and Enjoy is an absolute must. One of those places that turns a meal into a memorable experience.
The food was really special here- banana flower and papaya salad tasted so good. Each dish was so flavourful- if visiting the night market stop by as the food is superior quality. Staff were lovely and the fruit platter at the end was delicious and a perfect end to meal.
"The food is bad and there is no service-mind." They are happy to serve foreigners, but when it comes to Asians, they are unwelcoming. In particular, the male waiter with the short, crew-cut hair didn't smile at all, making the atmosphere in the restaurant very awkward. If you have time, try other restaurants in Hoi An. They offer much better service and are more attentive than this one.
Nice cozy restaurant but the food honestly isnt it. I had to wait 30 mins for the food to arrive and it wasnt worth the wait. The Vietnamese pancake is bland and oily. Some chicken and mushroom dish is meh. The crispy fish dish is decent though. Shame since it has a nice atmosphere although people that have long legs might struggle in some spots.
Such a lovely experience. One of the best foods we had. Clean atmosphere, cheap prices, massive portions. Staff is very helpful. Would highly recommend. Loved fried wontons, something new in Vietnam.
We had the house special as a starter and it is definitely recommended. We also had a recommendation for the main course and it was very good.

Food was super good, exceeded my expectations. Atmosphere was phenomenal, couldn't ask for a better setting to have a meal and enjoy good food. Service was top notch, staff constantly asked if we needed help and taught us how to properly enjoy the food, shows that they care. 11/10 would come again.
