The Shamrock Irish Pub Hoi An

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Shamrock Irish Bar was such a fun spot! They had an amazing live band that was taking requests, which made the whole night feel interactive and lively. Great energy, great music, and a packed atmosphere in the best way. They were also showing Olympic hockey on the TVs, which was awesome — perfect mix of live music and live sports. The drinks were solid, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. If you’re in Vietnam and craving a fun Irish pub vibe, this place definitely delivers. Would absolutely go back! 🍀

Great vibes and great live music! Guinness is tad expensive but that’s expected for the area whereas bottled local is fairly priced

I came across the place as I was staying next door and it had both a good vibe and a selection of local dishes. I'm extremely happy to see the live rock 🎸 music here 🎶 I gave it a try as the draft beer and the passion fruit juice were great and reasonably priced (added 20% more service due to Tet’s holidays). I also tried the pizza (not really good) but it was fine if you have tried Italian foods before. On top of that, the staff is very friendly and they did an amazing job with the New Year and Hoi An decorations.

Service 10/10- saw how they handled a really unfair review was brilliant. The guest dodnt like the taste of their drink- no fault of the bartender but proceeded to get agressive ber a simple fix. Bartender offered to fix the cocktails no problem but guest demanded to leave one star review which is detrimental to small business. Services phenomenal, vibes phenomenal. Prices grate food looks great. Would recomend 10/10 bi not option. Such great value and live music is amazing. All staff great. Depends how many drinks you want depends on affordability

Great atmosphere with great views for river and people watching. The live music was excellent. Great Guinness and Heineken. The manager lady was a hardworking sweetheart!

Klassisches Irish Pub. Super Ambiente mit Live Band und dem typischen Irish Pub Charme. Das Essen war lecker, nur es waren ein wenig Pommes. Absolut zu empfehlen wer Irish Pub's mag.

If y'all like rock music and/or open mics, I cannot recommend this enough! The live band was incredible, and Jojo, who is in charge of the acoustic open mic, is super nice and talented. I went to the bar 3 days in a row just for the vibe.

Do not come here!! The lady working here is very rude. I wasn’t trying to buy a drink at the every moment and she threatened to kick me out. Starts taking photos on me. Probably trying to put my face on their group chats. Be aware!!

There is a potential good atmosphere as the musicians cover really good tracks, but it's way too loud to appreciate it fully. The food is ok and service is pretty slow but it's understandable as the place is busy. So many potential customers stand outside but don't come in because of the level of noise, so my advice to you guys is, turn it down a notch and more people will come.

Horrible Service & Blatant Racial Discrimination — Worst Experience in Vietnam Hoi an. This has been the worst service I’ve had in my 13 days traveling in Vietnam, paired with blatant racial discrimination. My husband had barely drunk one-third of his beer when the staff kept rushing him to order another one. We have already other 4 drinks, is it not enough? They repeatedly interrupted us during the live music just to push more drinks on us. Meanwhile, the two tables of white customers beside us ordered far less than we did, and not a single waiter bothered them at all. Only us were targeted nonstop. We ordered a beer right after the second set music finished, took just two sips, and as soon as the third set started with the first song, a waiter came over to pressure us again, saying we’d occupied the table for too long. What the heck? Why don’t you rush the white customers? Why don’t you charge people standing outside listening to the band for free instead of harassing paying guests? You could easily set a minimum spend per table for the 3 live music sets, but you chose not to. Instead, you keep interrupting people mid-show to order drinks? We were interrupted by set 2 and set 3. How many drinks do you think we should order so you would stop harassing us? I’d rather stand outside and listen for free than be bothered like this. The service is extremely rude and aggressive, especially the oldest waiter. Her attitude to Chinese was terrible. To white? Smile all the time. To me? She yelled. The only positive is the band — they’re top-notch. But the service is unforgivable. Their so-called freshly squeezed orange juice is completely fake, horrible and definitely mixed with additives, tasting awful and watery. Worst orange juice I’ve ever had. How can you expect anyone to order more? My husband wanted draft beer and they rejected, only allowed my husband to buy bottle one. However, the white comes after us, sitting next to us ordered draft beer. How could this happen? You are Asian too. Who do you think you are? The restrooms are disgustingly smelly — even the women’s restroom reeks. There’s never any toilet paper, and the staff never cleans. If guests can’t even use a clean restroom, how are we supposed to drink more? My bladder is about to explode but I can’t pee in a smelly no toilet paper restroom. An absolutely terrible experience. Save your money and your mood — avoid this place. Enjoy the music freely outside the store. They don’t deserve my money at all. 中国人千万别来，严重种族歧视

THE MUSIC HERE IS AMAZING ! This band really made our night when we found them. Before that, Hoi an old town sincerely felt like a tourist pleaser. They are really passionate musicians and it shows that they love what they do. We had a really good time there !

Ich würde gern 0 Sterne geben. Einfach viel zu laut, keine Rücksicht auf Late Night und die Atmosphäre, die am Fluss herrschen sollte. Gerade zum vietnamesischen Neujahr sollte man eine Stufe runterfahren. Party mit Geschlossenen Türen tut es auch. Dann noch schlechte Boxen und Rauschen. Atmosphären-Killer!

Totally inappropriate noise from this venue from a very shouty, tuneless band. Completely spoilt the atmosphere of this part of Hoi An. Total noise pollution- ruined a meal we were having in a restaurant opposite.

I have a hard time understanding the bad reviews indicating noise complaints from this bar. I’ve been travelling Vietnam for 4 weeks now and this is the most engaging live-band bar I’ve come across. The band is dynamic, the music is spot on, and the atmosphere is really fun. They play great classic rock which undeniably gets the crowd’s hips moving. Everyone walking by on the pedestrian road stops to get a hold of the great music playing here, it’s really encouraging for the band members. The band respectfully stops playing together at 10pm which to me seems absolutely reasonable. Thank you for livening up our night, please keep doing what you do for the spirit of Hoi An <3

We enjoyed our chicken burgers and beer. Everything was well prepared. The staff was kind and friendly. They do accept credit cards. There is plenty of seating inside and outside with a spectacular view of the boats passing by. There is also a pool table that we enjoyed a game. 😊

Band is seriously unbelievably good. I can't believe I'm not paying for the concert! (other than tips, of course). Their guitarist is incredible and absolutely nails every solo, and the singers are killing it!! The band recreates classic rock songs so well but also makes changes of their own, which is just so fun to listen to! We didn't have any of the food, but enjoyed the beers and the vibes so much that we had to come back every night until we left 🫶🫶

I went to the restroom and came back; I had a glass of beer, and they'd taken it away. They invite customers in when they want to, but when we order drinks, they expect us to leave immediately. They wanted to move me to another table, but I didn't go because it wasn't a nice gesture. ❌My beer was still there on the table; they could have asked me. Vietnamese people really surprise me every day and make me disillusioned with the country.👎

Chill and cozy place. Price is affordable compared to similar establishments in the area and staff are nice. great view to the river during evening with lively lantern decoration.
