Great place to try the local specialty. It is mostly Vietnamese diners, with no frills and it doesn’t need any because the food speaks for itself. There are only two dishes, we tried both and ordered two more, the Cao Lau was the favourite. Very reasonable, tasty and a great experience in Hoi An.
Try the Cao Lau now! Super good, and super cheap, loved this place. I was the only foreigner there. Local local.
first meal in hoi an cao lau was really tasty. we ordered mi quang too but it fell short of our expectations we had cao lau again at another place nad a later date but confirmed this mini street area was still wayyy better in taste. tables and seats are your typical smalley things overall, if you’re a 🇸🇬 the mi quang tastes like a mix between your hokkien mee and prawn mee but more towards the bland side. cao lau on the other hand still can fall into the fishball/pork noodles but definitely the better and tastier option. first time here and we really felt that hoi an has also been in an era where cuisines are mostly fused in most dishes like a cross between viet, chinese, malay, thai, french and the west regardless of the shop owner’s original nationality
First time eat it and love it right in the first time. Will come back anytime. SUPER MEALLLLL💯💯
so yum
Small unassuming shop with two dishes on the menu, both some of the best in Hoi An. If you’re searching for something small and authentic come here!
A Cao Lao and Mi Quang stall that opens in the afternoon and into the night. Both dishes are among the best I've had in Hoi An. For some reason, tourists haven't discovered the place yet and locals are filling the place. Local prices. I recommend coming and enjoying.
Foreigners beware. There is no choice you sit and they bring everyone the same dish. I asked the local couple next to me (eating the same dish) how much one bowl was, they said 20. The lady then tried to shout across saying 30, 30! The couple next to me assured me the dish is 20. So it is true, foreigners pay more. Always ask a local the price if you are unsure and stand your ground if they try to over charge you! Shame really as the food was good.
This was the best cao lau ever! So good and super cheap
I don't know why no westerner eat here. All locals, very good price, 30k, fresh herb basket. Super tasty I come back here every year and order at least 2 bowls. Dont forget to mix with pickle onion, chili jam, lime.
The best local restaurant in Hoi An, so delicious!
I had 2 bowls Mi Quang… 1 bowl cao lau.. 90k belly fully yum!
The Mi Kwang was really good
